A New Chapter

There are many people to thank for this miraculous story and its happy ending. We can start with Arnette and the good people at Levy County Animal Services who recognized the urgency in the situation and went to amazing lengths to find help. Their determination truly saved these nine dogs.

As Suncoast Animal League needed help in covering their medical costs, caring and generous animal lovers from across the United States and even British Columbia came to our aid.

Of course, Dr. Stanton and her staff at AA Animal ER Center in Palm Harbor cannot be thanked enough for what they did for Roo and the pups, at all hours of the day and night.

The staff and volunteers at Suncoast Animal League were always there for the crew in their usual unselfish manner.

And there were Kelly and Tom, foster parents who opened their hearts and home, giving these dogs their first taste of comfort and security. And we also need to thank the other foster parents, who later on stepped forward to pitch in when the pups became older and known as the "wrecking crew."

Roo gave everything she had to her pups, putting her own life in jeopardy, and she somehow managed. And then it was our turn, and we also managed. But we had lots of help. Thank you for all that help!!
